Company History
LexPlastics is a custom injection molding company that was founded in 1980 as Confederate Plastics. Originally a wholly owned subsidiary of Interplex Industries, our name was changed in 1997 to Interplex Plastics, Inc. In 2014 Interplex Industries was sold however Interplex Plastics, Inc. was retained with no change in shareholders. Therefore, we now operate as LexPlastics, Inc.
Located in Lexington, Kentucky in two facilities, LexPlastics has easy access to the interstate highway system and all major truck lines.
Our LexPlastics team has forty years of providing customers with proven zero defect production capabilities while assuring 100% on-time delivery. Many of our customers have been with us since our beginning and consider LexPlastics as an integral extension of their manufacturing supply chain. We are capable of managing projects of all sizes and complexity. Our team has the resources to build a single mold, manage multiple tool programs or create a manufacturing process to mold & assemble multi-component assemblies utilizing our value added manufacturing systems.
In keeping with our commitment of having very satisfied customers, LexPlastics understands the value of operating with a shared vision at all levels of the company. We have experienced very low team member turnover (15 years average employment service) and our skilled technicians have many years of familiarity and training in injection molding processes. This has resulted in short set up times and efficiency in production with little scrap produced. Our objective is to hire and develop highly motivated and qualified team members that are committed to meeting our operating and financial objectives, as well as to ensure continued success for LexPlastics and our customers.
